Risks of options and derivatives
Options and other derivatives involve substantial risk and are not suitable for every investor. A bought option can lose its entire premium. A sold option can lose many times the premium received. Prices can gap sharply around earnings and other events, liquidity can disappear, and American-style options can be assigned early. Read your broker's options risk disclosure document before trading.
Interactive tools
The Strategy Lab, the Monte Carlo simulation and the volatility surface are illustrations. They use simplified models: Black–Scholes pricing with constant volatility, a fixed 5% interest rate, no dividends and European exercise; a geometric Brownian motion for simulated prices; and a synthetic volatility surface. Real markets behave differently. Nothing these tools show is a forecast or a recommendation.

We do not publish performance on this website. A performance review is available privately on request. It is drawn from the founder's personal brokerage statements. It is unaudited, covers a limited period and a small number of trades, and does not represent results achieved for any client. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
