What does Desai Global Strategies do?
We advise on options strategies. That covers directional trades with a capped loss, trades around earnings and other events, hedging for stocks you already own, and risk reporting on an existing options book. Every recommendation comes with its payoff, its Greeks and its worst case.
Who is it for?
Investors with an existing portfolio who want income or protection, active traders who want a disciplined framework around their options, and anyone holding a large position in one company that they need to hedge sensibly.
Do you manage my money or place trades for me?
No. Your account stays at your own broker, in your name, and you place every trade yourself. We tell you what we would do, why, and what can go wrong. The decision stays with you.
Which markets do you cover?
Our focus is listed US equity and index options, especially large-cap technology and semiconductor names. If you trade other markets, ask us in the first conversation and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
How much does it cost?
Fees depend on what the engagement covers and are agreed in writing before any work begins. We'll give you a clear quote after the first conversation, once we understand what you need.
Is there a minimum account size?
Yes. We work with accounts of US$100,000 or more. Below that, it's hard to size options positions sensibly within our risk rules, where no single position takes more than 20% of capital.
Can I see your track record?
Yes. A full performance review, taken from brokerage statements, is available privately on request. We don't publish returns on the website, because a few months of numbers without context can mislead more than they inform.
Are options risky?
They can be. Bought options can expire worthless, and some sold options can lose many times the premium collected. That's why we start from defined-risk structures, trade without margin, and show you the maximum loss before anything else.
Do you guarantee returns?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. We commit to a process: priced trades, known worst cases, sizing from your risk budget, and exits agreed in advance.
